My European City Network

My European City

My European City is a network of European cities, which advocate a stronger visibility of their cities’ European aspects. EUROSOC#DIGITAL advises and supports the network with its expertise on creative European political education.

The European continent is strongly connected and intertwined due to its historical developments. The “Place de la Petite-Hollande” in the French port city of Nantes or the Statue of the Town Musicians of Bremen in Riga, Latvia highlight the interconnectedness that many cities maintain. Especially in recent years however, a number of European countries record a rise of nationalistic movements and many citizens are not aware of the European dimension of their region and city.

Funded by the programme “Europe for Citizens”, the network aims to make Europe more visible in its cities and regions and to get people enthusiastic about Europe by means of innovative methods. For that, the network has hosted several networking events and town hall meetings in the past two years.

All documents and results of project can be accessed online on the project website.
